International Champions Cup Coming To Orlando In 2017, 2018

Internationally renowned soccer players will play games at Camping World Stadium in 2017 and 2018 after Visit Orlando landed a sponsorship deal for the International Champions Cup.

The deal, announced Tuesday during the organization's annual luncheon, makes Visit Orlando the tournament's U.S. tourism partner for both years, said George Aguel, president and chief executive officer.

"For us, it's definitely a sell-out opportunity for Camping World Stadium," said Aguel, adding the original opportunity did not include game play in Central Florida.

Aguel said to elevate a return on investment for Central Florida, which was already expected to be high because of the media exposure that comes from this tournament, he wanted local matches.
